Nokia PC suite, an error occurred during the installation

Hello experts,

Downloading Nokia suite went pretty easy and it took me only few minutes to complete download. When I try to connect with the computer I stuck up with a problem. For your information I have the old version in my computer, but it has not affected in any way. I have lot of space in my system harddisk, then what might be the problem? Help me solve the issue.

Hello,

This issue means that there is a service not running on which the installation depends. The service is called “Windows Modules Installer”. If the service is disabled, any installation of such software that uses Windows Installer won’t complete successfully.

1. Go to Start menu >> All programs >> Accessories >> Run.

2. Type and enter this: services.msc

3. Scroll down and search for “Windows Modules Installer”.

4. Right-click and select “Properties”.

5. Check the following fields:

Startup type: Manual

Service status: Stopped

If these options are not set properly, set them manually. Optionally, you can set the “Service status” to “Started” by pressing “Start” button.

Now try to install the software. Also, try installing the latest Ovi Suite.

That error obviously means you downloaded a version that is not compatible with your computer. For 32-bit operating systems, you need to install the 32-bit version of the program. For 64-bit operating systems, you can install both 32-bit and 64-bit applications but sometimes a 32-bit application may not install. This can happen if the program has a 64-bit version.

If you are using a 64-bit operating system and the 32-bit program does not install, you need to download the 64-bit version of the program if there is any. If no 64-bit version is available, it means you cannot install the program. If you want to install Nokia PC suite, try downloading another version. Download this version on FileHippo: Nokia PC Suite 7.1.180.94.
