Norton 60-day Trial Product Key

I have a newly bought HP laptop that has a 15-month subscription of Norton Antivirus. The instructions to set up the Norton Antivirus did not match with the installation options and I only have the option to set up the 60-day trial. There is no window to enter the product key.

If the 60-day trial period is over, can I just enter the product key of my 15-month subscription when the window to enter it appears or do I have to uninstall the trial version before I can continue to set up Norton Antivirus with subscription?

Hello Peter,

If the antivirus you bought is a full version then it should definitely have the option for activating it so that later you won't have trouble using it. In case you cannot find the activation option completely, I will suggest that contact the person that sold you and ask for a replacement, for they might have sold you a trial version.

Regards,

Nicke

Hi Peter,

Newly bought laptops usually come with a 30-day or 60-day Antivirus trial. And once that trial period is over, it will prompt you to purchase a license key online. The pre-installed antivirus doesn’t have the option to enter a license key. So for you to install your 15-month Norton subscription, you have to uninstall the 60-day trial Norton Antivirus program first and then once it’s uninstalled, you can now install the Norton Antivirus with the 15-month subscription.

Hope it answers your questions.
