Norton Anti-Virus software not starting

I bought Norton Anti-Virus and installed.  I have tried restarting my computer, uninstalling and reinstalling the software, and also tried running to see if a virus is preventing me from installing with no luck.  Did I follow all the applicable steps?  Should I try purchasing another product and installing?  I hate to buy another product but I'm out of ideas for Norton.  Thank you.

Norton Anti-Virus software not starting

Below mentioned is the solution to your query:

Solution 1

• Download the Norton Removal Tool
• Run it and follow the onscreen instructions to uninstall the software.
• Restart the system
• Reinstall your Norton Product and verify if problem is still there.

If the problem still persists after following these steps then try this solution

Solution 2

• Download Norton Power Eraser
• Run NPE.exe file and go to Advanced Options icon.
• Next to Unwanted Applications Scan, click Scan Now to scan your computer.
• After Scan is completed, results are displayed in the Unwanted apps section.
• Click Uninstall to remove these applications.
• After Uninstall restart the computer.

The problem should get resolved by following either of the two solutions.
