Norton Anti Virus – Windows XP

Hi experts,

Just I reformatted my PC via 3 Emachines Restore CDs.

Then I have installed 
WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU
after that
WindowsXP-KB936929-SP3-x86-ENU

When I permitted Norton Antivirus to download the entire virus meanings, then it is not working as well as it is totally disabled.

I have searched the internet to find a solution, but I can’t. Please help me to solve it.

Norton Anti Virus – Windows XP

Hello Alex,

It seems like your Norton antivirus application is corrupt, and that is why it cannot be able to install successfully the updates that you are getting online. I will suggest that you try the following:

• Try downloading the updates that you want to perform for the antivirus from the Norton website, and then save them on a folder on your desktop. After that you should try updating the antivirus by tracing the update you have stored on your computer desktop.
• If the error still occurs, you may want to uninstall the Norton antivirus and then perform its clean installation to remove any bugs that may be causing the issues.
