Norton antivirus 2010 is not able to scan my pen drive

Hello People,

My computer is running on Windows 7. For the past one week, my Norton antivirus 2010 is not able to scan my pen drive.

I am also not able to update it over the internet.

I have restarted my computer, but it didn’t help me.

Please resolve the issue. Below is the error message.

Norton antivirus 2010 is not able to scan my pen drive

 

The file must have become infected with other kind of security threats (those except the virus). That’s why it is unable to run.

You should re-install the software. Also I suggest you to use Norton 360. There is much other kind of threats which also cause damage. Those are spam, adware etc. Antivirus only knows about viruses, not about other threats. Rather it also contains a PC checkup tool to tune up your PC.

So my suggestion is to uninstall the program and install Norton 360.

Hello John Griesham,

May be your computer is affected by computer virus. And the virus has damaged your some files which were the very important files for your Norton antivirus 2010.  I think there are two ways to solve this problem:

1. Uninstall and re-install Norton antivirus 2010

2. Buy a new version of Norton antivirus 2013

There have also an alternative  solution (but I am not sure it will be work) i.e. You have to change your system time. I mean set up your that time when your Norton antivirus was worked.
