Not Able To Use The Gesture Navigation

In android Pie, I am not able to use the navigation feature that I could use in Android Oreo. I have to click on the home button for the app drawer instead of swiping up. Is this some issue of the screen or has touch become weak? Can I install a third-party launcher for the navigation?

Not Able To Use The Gesture Navigation

The navigation system has slightly changed for the Android Pie update. You will not be able to use the previous settings if you want to use the navigation system with the help of the gestures. The default system to open the app drawer is by clicking the home button. If you wish to use the gesture of swipe up on the home screen, you need to turn on the gestures. Go to the settings option and search for Gestures. Once you get it, toggle the button to on. By doing so, you will be able to use the swipe up on the home screen button gesture to open the app drawer.
