Hey, the steps for the repair hard drive windows 7 are as follows:
• First go to start > open windows explorer
• Next navigate the pane and click for the computer
• Now right click the drive that needs to be checked.
• Go to properties > tool > check now
• Next in the check disk select the automatically fixing the file systems errors and click on start.
• If the HDD is open then a message prompt will be shown for it
• Next close all the programs for the same and repeat the steps again.
• Later the checking begins and its results a relisted successfully

Notify The Repair Hard Drive Windows 7 As Reference Only

If you cannot access your hard drive or it throws you an error, there is probably something wrong with its file system. You need to fix it first to gain access again. Download and install PC Tools Performance Toolkit. Once installed, start PC Tools then go to “Recovery” tab and click “Repair Drives”. Select “Surface Scan” and check “Perform on reboot” under “Select Drive Operation”.

Select the hard drive to fix from the list of hard drives and then click “Start” then “Continue”. Close PC Tools then restart your computer to begin testing the hard drive. The application will begin checking the hard drive before loading Windows. When it is finished, log in to your account then check the hard drive if it is now accessible.

Backup all the files you can recover from that drive into your local hard drive and then format that drive you fixed to have a fresh, error-free file system. Copy the files back once you finished formatting.
