Nt backup now only works to a certain point

Hey techyv,

I have the program nt backup now installed on my Hard drive. But when I start nt backup now I can get to the dialog box "Looking for backup devices" but it simply hangs there and will not progress any further then that. How can I fix this?

Hello Terry

I may be able to help you fixing this error.

I assume that you start the program, the "Looking for backup devices" dialog box shows up, and it just stays there. If you wait for 7-10 minutes, it may or may not go away and the software starts.

What you have to do, in order to use NT backup, is go to C:WindowsSystem32NtmsData

In that folder, delete every files there is. You should find NTMSDATA, NTMSDATA.bak, NTMSIDX and perhaps more. Delete them, restart your PC and NT Backup will run without freezing at the Dialog Box.
