When performing back up with windows XP I encountered this problem. The error said

An occurred while performing backup task, it gives me no idea how to fix this one because the error only is on the message.

How can I fix this one guys?

Have you tried doing another run of creating a backup to check if the problem is just caused by a glitch or a non-permanent error? If it gave you the same problem, did you make any changes to the system settings before the problem started? Were you able to create backups prior to this? If you did, try doing system restore and go back to a date when you were able to backup files without errors. Are you using a third party application to create the backups?

Try to uninstall and reinstall it and see if that helps. Also make sure that a backup media is in your machine or is connected to your machine with write permissions enabled.

An occurred while performing backup task

Well, it’s important to know if this is the first time you tried to backup or not. If you had successful backups before, try to remember if you made some changes in the system. If you did, try to restore your system at a state prior to these changes.

There are also chances that you repeat the backup and it works. This could happen if the error is only temporary.
