Office 2013 Preview installation error with Window 7 Pro x86

Hi,

I run Window 7 Pro x86 and I already installed Office 2007.

I tried installing Office 2013 Preview which I downloaded from Technet, but got this error.

Even after several attempts including running it as admin still got the same error.

Any ideas how I can fix this?

The installation of the package failed.

Hello Gregory,

First make sure you are logged into your Windows with the user that have the administrator permission.

After that, check that the setup.exe is not running in compatibility mode.

You can also try turning off the User Account Control and starting your Windows in clean boot mode.

If none of the steps above can solve your problem, then the problem is in corrupted or uncompleted files and you will have to download them again.
