Dear Members,
I don't have enough space on one of my disk drive although there is very less data on this drive. How can I get my remaining storage space? Looking for an answer anxiously.

Dear,
This problem can be due to the files that you have deleted but you haven't emptied the recycle bin. Go check the recycle bin and if there are some files, then delete them. I hope this will solve the problem. If it doesn't, don't hesitate to ask me more.

This problem can be due to some hidden files stored on the drive. Go to "Folder" options and from there select "View" tab and in that, find "Show Hidden files". Check this one. And if there are some hidden files, then those will be available and you can delete them to get the remaining space. I hope this will solve your problem.

I have checked and I have gained some extra space by deleting files from recycle bin but still there is 2 GB extra used space that is showing in the properties page of the disk drive.

I have done as per your instructions. I have found very few files and the size of those files is also in MBs. I still have that problem.

If this problem persists, then go for the "Disk Cleanup" Option. Right click on the disk and select "Properties", and click on the "Disk Cleanup". A window will be opened and you will see details of files with occupied space. Select all the options and then press OK button. A confirmation box will appear, accept it and clean the files. I hope this will solve your problem for remaining space.

One more thing you can do while doing disk cleanup. There, you will find one more option by pressing the more advanced button. You will find system restore options. If you find some restore points also remove all these system restore for this drive. This will help a lot.
