Online scan for my mobile to remove virus.

Hi,

I did not install any anti-virus software on my mobile and I need online scan for my mobile. And my question is does online scan can only identify virus or virus related threat. To delete that virus or threat should I need to install antivirus software or can online scan do it?

Hi Mr. Wallace,

If you are frequently using internet connection in your mobile, then it is advisable to install an anti virus software in your mobile.You may scan your mobile on line and remove viruses and threats.But the difference is that installed antivirus protects your device from viruses while using internet connection. Online scan can only remove the viruses and threats from your device which is exist in your mobile. It can not protect your device further using internet connection.

Yes you can scan your mobile online. There are many good websites that offer online virus scan for mobiles. They work fine and remove the viruses as well. Here are some suggestions for you:

1- http://scan.netqin.com/en/ It is a free service and scans your mobile. It is compatible with many famous operating systems.

2- http://website.informer.com/terms/Online_Virus_Scan_For_Mobile_Phone_Nokia_X2 This is specifically for Nokia Phones. You can also find your Mobile phone model.

3- To install McAfee antivirus in your mobile phone you can do it by visiting: https://www.mcafee.com/consumer/en-us/store/m0/catalog.html

To get rid of scanning online again and again. Please install a good antivirus in your mobile phone for the maximum protection.
