Opera IMAP connection unexpectedly interrupted

Ever since I updated to version 11.60, I begin to experience seeing a message appearing in my screen and it read as what is shown in the figure below.

 

Mailer Error

The connection with the IMAP server was unexpectedly interrupted

 

 

There is a mailer error that happened and the link with the IMAP server was suddenly interrupted.

I hope someone will help me correct the error!

Opera IMAP connection unexpectedly interrupted

Hello Katherine,

This problem is found often with Opera 11.60.

One reason could be that the check interval that you have set is too low. It should be set to 10 minutes or even higher (about 30 minutes) would be much better.

Another solution to the problem is logging the connection. To log the connection you need to close Opera and then edit the file ‘accounts.ini’. To edit this file, set the ‘Incoming Log File’ line (under IMAP account section) to this:

< Incoming Log File={Home}Desktop/gmail_imap_incoming_log.txt >

Note: Exclude the angle brackets (</>) in the above line.
