Hi all,

Whenever I boot my laptop I found two Bad Image errors continuously but always at boot up I get:

C:Windowssystem32atiumdva.dll

And I also get a:

Failed to load CommonRes.dll at boot.

I’ve recently cleared a malware infestation and still having problems with the OS. When I try to run an update into Service Pack 2; then the installation times out.

Need your help.

Thanks in advance.

I have a solution for your problem Please download this file because it will be needed for your problem to be solved.

http://www.dlldll.com/commonres.dll_download.html and

https://www.dllme.com/dll/files/atiumdva_dll.html

Open the downloaded file extract them to this location on your computer. C:windowssystem32

But if you are using a 64-bit version of windows, you should place the file to C:windowsSysWOW64

Overwrite any existing file and reboot your computer and Run the program and if it still occurs. Click start and then run and type this on the run regsvr32 atiumdva.dll (same for the commonres.dll) and then enter. And then run the program again this will surely work now. I hope you enjoy your stay here.

Hi Arnold,

It seems like you are having the after effects of a malware. As you said make sure you have killed every malware by using some antivirus, I personally recommend Kaspersky internet security 2012.

OK now that dll files are currently doesn't anyway relate to any boot files on windows. What you have to do is stop the execution of those processes which uses that dll files.

What you have to do is just go clear your temp directory first. Go to run by clicking on start or just press win key + r for shortcut. Now delete all the files in it and ignore those files which does not delete.

Now in run type msconfig and then a box appears like this.

Recommend Kaspersky internet security 2012

In that click on startup. Now you can see all the list of processes that opens at startup, now disable all useless ones excluding your known applications and the antivirus process and video drivers in case.

Now put a system restart. And every errors are gone.
