Our Xerox 5687 printer has been acting up lately

Hi all,

I am employed by a law office at Fort Worth TX which has hundreds of employees. Our Xerox 5687 printer has been acting up lately and is printing smudgy and spotty.

This all began when we used the toner from an older machine to refill the toner on this one (Xerox haven´t been punctual when supplying us with refill toner.)

It worked fine that day but the next day it all went to hell with spots all over the print outs or the page just came out grey.

We then decided to swap it with an unhampered cartridge and it produced about 1000 copies. It started to become clearer as it printed more but we just decided to take it offline.

We finally put in a new toner and after about 300 copies it is a lot better but still spotty, we have cleaned the glass to no avail….

Any ideas?

Hi,

As an employee of a law office you need fair and fast printing service. Your Xerox 5687 printer earlier worked fine but at present creating some problems like lately, smudgy and spotty printing.

You mentioned above that after using of toner from an older machine to refill the toner arose this issue. Actually it happened so. Your subsequent events are also not appropriate for the printer.

Sometimes it may cause a great spoil to the valuable printer. So try to use intake printer toner or cartridge. If the problem is beyond your limit contact the concerned technician. It will run your office smoothly as well as your life.
