Outlook what is the Kerberos authentication prompts a user for his logon
Just curious as to why an Outlook ’03 client with the logon security set to Kerberos authentication prompts a user for his logon details when opening MS Outlook. Anyone?

That happens possibly because the Outlook client is connecting with RPC over HTTP instead of using straight RPC connection, and that will happen in the case whereby you are using the default settings. So you will need to check the settings as follows:

You may need to check a few things as per the list below:
Check if there are any Kerberos errors on the Exchange server or active directory
It may be caused by an authentication issue on the autodiscover virtual directory in IIS. You may found information regarding this on this link https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb201695.aspx
You may want to check the outlook profiles of the users who are having the issues. If they are connecting and using ‘Cache Exchange mode’ and connects to the exchange server using HTTP. You may also check authentication settings as Outlook can be configured to always request for authentication.
