In order to completely monitor your laptop regarding heat issue, you can use “Speed Fan” software. It monitors and provides you the complete details about temperature of almost everything inside your laptop like processor, hard disk and most importantly your Graphics Card temperature. It also has an option to adjust the speed of your laptop cooling Fan.

For precautions, you can use external cooling pad beneath your laptop.

Sometimes heating can be caused by a program running on your computer due to its unnecessary overhead workload on processor. Because of the processor working heavily computer gets heated and the fan is not able to control the heat then the computer goes off. So you can monitor your task manager to see whether any program consumes more and unnecessary processing power. If there are end those processes. This might solve your heating issue for some amount.

Another solution would be to use and cooling pad which will cool down the computer when it gets overheated. You can buy a cooling pad from a computer shop and it does not cost much for you.
