I am a huge PC fan and the main thing I like about this system is overclocking which results in boosts in graphic capabilities. I heard it is possible to do so in recent mobile phones. I have the new HTC one and there is a quadcore process and I would really like to overclock it to see what happens?

Hello,

Yes. It is possible to overclock the smartphones as we can overclock the PC. There are some limitations to overclock the smartphone. You should overclock only 10-20% of stock frequency. Recently customer complains encounters about the devices like battery drain. It is very important to understand the pre requisites of it before you want to overclock the smartphone.
Overclocking is done for obtaining more power but it does not mean that device will constantly run on overclocked frequency speed. The power will be used when needed like running games, multiple Apps etc.
