Is overclocking a laptop safe? If so does it really increase the speed of your computer? Does anyone here know a tutorial or step by step guide to follow.

OVERCLOCKING A LAPTOP to increase speed
Â
Good day,
Â
I may suggest that you wouldn't do that for your laptop. Overclocking is something that PC enthusiasts would like to do on their PCs or rig. It increase the speed of the processor.

Desktop are reliable in overclocking but it depends on the setup of the PC most of the overclockers have a medium to big end PC setup and the components must have the overclock feature. Though nowadays in the desktop overclocking it becomes easy and no hassle thanks for the technology that ASUS / MSI / Gigabyte etc just simply click and presto your unit is overclocked.

OVERCLOCKING A LAPTOP to increase speed
Hello Esftech,
If you ask me if is it safe to overclocking a laptop, my answer would be no. On your 2nd question, my answer is yes, it DOES increase the CPU performance of a laptop. But as I said earlier, it's not safe to overclock a laptop. Because overclocking makes your laptop much hotter than it can handle. And also, only do overclocking if you fully understand the risk. That's all. If you really want, check this out –
