Hi,
I have a Packard Bell laptop with Vista, and the concern is that every night at 3 am battery it lights up, and off until the battery completely empty. In my research I could see that the problem might be related to the BIOS clock, but I do not know how to get vista and if it is really the problem.
If someone could bring me details and help me solve this problem,
I thank you in advance!
Packard Bell laptop with Vista + bios
Dear Scott
Every night battery lights up and off until the battery completely empty is a big problem and this problem not relates to bios clock or Packard bell laptop or windows vista. You just need to do simple steps for get rid off this problem.
Go to 'control panel'
Open 'Scheduled Task'
Now you can see, there must be a scheduled assigned to your computer at 3:00 am for start.
Just right click on that schedule and 'delete' it, simple.
and restart your computer.
Cheers

Packard Bell laptop with Vista + bios
Hi there,
The BIOS auto boot may have been enabled to start the PC at a specific time period. To check this, you need to go into the BIOS by pressing F2 (keeping it pressed) when you turned on the laptop.
Afterwards you should navigate to the power management options where you will see an option like "Start PC on : xx:xx::xx" and just above that settings you should see the option to enable or disable the feature, once you disable that option, your laptop should not boot up automatically anymore.
