My computer is running Windows 7 and my default browser is Internet Explorer.
Lately, I can’t seem to open well-known websites such as, Hotmail, eBay, and Facebook.
Aside from the following sites, I can browse other sites perfectly.
I am receiving error from IE stating that the page load timeout and cannot be displayed.
I searched on Google and it seems that my problem is very usual.
Hence, I can’t seem to fix it.
Can anyone help?
Page Load Timeout on IE
Have you try to open websites using other browsers like Firefox or Chrome?
If you have tried other browsers and the result is same, there is a problem with your internet connection.
You must check your internet connection such as ISP, router, LAN, and WIFI. Contact your ISP provider for help.
If not, the problem is with your Internet Explorer. You can check or diagnose your connection in Internet Explorer by clicking Tools > Diagnose Connection Problems.
After this process done, you can read diagnostic log to know why the problem occurs. The worst case is to reinstall your Internet Explorer.
Slow connection can cause this problem, too.
Time needed to open the page you request is more than time-out.

Hi Bruce,Â
Try to clear your cookies and cache of your browser. If this doesn't work, clear your DNS cache.Â
Â
To do that, Open start menu, type cmd on the search bar, after that the command prompt will appear then enter : ipconfig /flushdns.
Â
Your cache now will be flushed. Sometimes restarting your modem could help too.
Â
Cache files help you to browse faster since cache stored in your pc.
Â
Hope this can help you.
