Hi all!

Hey Ben!
Firefox 3 older version does not prompt and attempt to save password and user name for some specific sites.
It's the site that is preventing Firefox from doing this because of security reasons.
If you want to force Firefox to save all of the passwords and username, you'll have to change the loginmanager.js file of Firefox and IÂ Â must be honest that it's a security fact.
So choose wisely if you want to edit the loginmanager.js file.
Well, I think I don't have any choice. Â
So, will you please tell me about the procedure to edit the login-manager file?
You can also consider updating Firefox to a better version. Â
Firefox 3.0.8 saves all password automatically.
Thanks any ways Julie.
I think I will go with the edition method as I have a vast amount of bookmarks.
It will be really hard for me to collect them all back.
Since you are interested to edit your current version of Firefox.
You should follow the steps below:
1. Open any instance of Firefox if running.
2. Go to the Firefox home folder in your hard disk. If you installed Firefox in drive "C" then the path will be
C:Program FilesMozilla Firefox.
3. Open the folder "Components"
4. Right click on the file named, "nsLoginManager"/"nsLoginManager.js" and open it with notepad.
5. Find these lines: " _isAutocompleteDisabled : function (element) {"
6. Delete the immediate 3 lines, after the opening bracket.
Save and close this file and run Firefox.
Now your Firefox will prompt you to save every username and password.
Good luck!
