Pastel Partner version 12 error on Win XP SP2

Hi,

Recently, I have downloaded Pastel Partner version 12 on my Win XP SP2 and tried to install it but got stuck at the end of installation and faced this annoying error message. I tried to remove this program to take effect as a resolution but could not get any positive effect. I am looking for an expert’s advice resolving this issue. I am unable to understand this nonsense message so please suggest me in a proper way. I would be grateful to you. Thanks.

Pastel Partner version 12 error on Win XP SP2

Hi Franklin,
The error is because the automatic update functionality was incomplete.
The solution to it is:
1) Check Pastel is closed
2) Locate the 'Custom' folder in 'C:Pastel12
3) In the Custom folder, locate AutoUpdate folder
4) Download the update file and replace 'AccountingUpdate.exe.config' in the AutoUpdate folder
5) Open Pastel
6) Open the update file and follow the installation steps
7) After the installation is complete, restart the system
