PC Companion Error Unable to phone software

Hello,

I want to update my phone software. For this purpose I used PC Companion.

Whenever I try to update it, I see an installation

error on the screen which says:

 

 

I Have tried my best to find a solution. All the specifications required to use PC companion are fulfilled which include

 

• Internet broadband connection

• Intel Pentium  4, 3.6 GHz or equivalent AMD processor

• 500 MB free hard disk space

• 2 GB RAM

• 1 available USB 2.0 port and USB cable

• Microsoft  Windows XP SP2 (32 bit), Vista (32/64 bit) or Windows 7 (32/64 bit)

 

I can't get to the root cause of the error.

 

If anybody can be of any help?

PC Companion Error Unable to phone software

As I see it you’re using a Sony phone right? Typical error. For optimum performance it is best advised to get updates for phones whatever latest update there is to improve the stability of software. Running software update can ease typical phone problems. And it is also necessary to make back up’s and save any important data restored, before performing any update. Suggest that you make update with the Update Service instead, download link and carefully follow instructions.
