Hello Friends,
I have got a problem with my Ulead Video Studio 10. Recently I am trying to make a picture presentation which will be a video file. That’s why I have collected the Ulead 10 video editing software. It’s quite easy to handle and operate. Firstly I imported some JPG files (about 80 files) in the software.
After setting up all effects I wanted to see a preview. When I hit the preview button, my PC began to hang and this situation wasn’t solved until I pressed the reset button on the CPU box. The all my industry went in vain. I had tried it for several times. But every time it hangs. I don’t know why it is happening to my PC. But, one of my friends making this sort of presentation with the same software without any complains. So, why it is not happening to my PC? Can any body help me in this topic?
Thank you for your time.

The more reason why the computer hangs up is because if there are many open programs and applications.

These remains in the memory, if it is too much for the memory to handle, it will hang.
-
Another reason for the computer hang up is about your internet connection, and you are running too many applications and opening many websites. So, if you are a multimedia user or a heavy internet user, then you are better upgrade your memory, at least 512 MB of memory.
Other steps to avoid computer hang up.
-
Press "Ctrl-ALT-delete" keys at the same time. The windows task manager will display,
-
Click all programs that you don't need then click finish the task.
-
Then it will close one by one. If this will resolve the issue, then save.
Clean your Internet history data regularly.
Follow these steps:
-
Go to start menu.
-
Click Control Panel.
-
Click Network and Internet Connections, then click Internet Options.

Always shut down properly the computer and don't use the power button when turning it off. It can damage some system on your computer. And It can be the cause of computer hang up.
Defragmentation.
Do defrag your computer at least once a week/month.
This is the steps to do defragmentation:
-
Go to Start, All Programs then click Accessories, System Tools then Disk Defragmenter.
-
Right click the Drive C your main system logical drive and click Defragment. Then restart your computer.
There is one thing to do, is to check the logical drive's volume for errors.
-
Go to Start menu.
-
Click My Computer.
-
Right click your main local drive C and click Properties.
-
Click the Tools tab then click Check Now under Error-checking.
-
And click Start.

Always clean your disk. Here's the steps:
-
Go to Start.
-
Click All Programs then Accessories.

It will do better for having just one user on your computer. But if there are many users, make sure the user will shutdown after using the computer. Or keeping it logged on when you are going to be switching of users. To avoid freezing computer.
Hope this method and tips can help you.

PC Hangs after clicking Preview in Ulead Video Studio 10
Ulead Video Studio 10 is the perfect software to edit videos and audio. But sometimes it gives many errors which are cannot be described. But I would like to give you some solutions for them. If you are using the internet connection disconnect and use the software.
Or use Ulead Video Studio 11 version or 9 version. (If you want to make a presentation by using photos use Photo story software for that. It is much easier than Ulead.)
