Hi Friends,

PDF will not open Chrome and Firefox browsers. Can this be resolved? I have set Adobe Reader X's settings to open in Browser. In Chrome, I stopped the default pdf viewer and turned on the Adobe one. In Firefox, the Adobe PDF plug-in is set to open in Firefox. I have re-installed Reader and I can't get this to function. What do I do?

I need your help

Hi,

This problem will not get fix after re-installing Adobe Reader. You need to re-install your browser. For Google Chrome:

1. First you will need to uninstall your current browser.
2. Go to Control Panel setting of your PC and then " Add and remove program"
3. There you need to uninstall the browser from the list.
4. Then click on the link – https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/browser/
5. Click on the download link. They will ask you to save your file on the desktop.
6. Save it and run the setup from the location where you have saved.

This will fix your problem.

If you have a PDF reader installed on your computer like Adobe Acrobat Reader, any web browser can open a PDF file. If your web browser can’t open a single PDF file though you have a PDF reader on your computer, try updating it to the latest version. If you are using Google Chrome, download the latest standalone installer for the Google Chrome web browser and install it.

This will upgrade any existing version of Google Chrome on your computer to the latest version. If you are using Firefox, download the latest Mozilla Firefox web browser and install it to upgrade any existing version of the Firefox browser. See if this works. Also, make sure you have the latest Adobe PDF Reader on your computer. Download the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.

It supports Windows XP Service Pack 2 (64-bit only), Windows XP Service Pack 3 (32-bit only), Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10 including Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, and Windows Server 2012. It also supports OS X and Android.
