Peachtree 2006 crashes on Windows 8

I have been using Peachtree 2006 on Windows XP for accounting and business management.  I just upgraded to Windows OS 8 and reinstalled Peachtree.  The program crashes when launched.  Is there a work around for this or do I have to purchase the latest version of Peachtree?

Peachtree 2006 crashes on Windows 8

 

Hi there

I read your question and I understood the problem. But I’m afraid that there is no solution for overcome this problem since windows is a touch based OS and Peachtree 2006 version is not compatible for windows 8. But you can try the latest version of Peachtree in order to solve this problem.

Peachtree 2006 crashes on Windows 8

I tell you the main problem with Windows 8 Operating System. It may be possible to install and run the software on Windows 8 machine but you will see that it was issued after the initial release of the current Peachtree software. There may be compatibility issues for Peachtree products with Windows 8 Operating system. I would recommend that you install the Windows 7 which will be fully compatible with this software and you will not face problem with this machine but with Windows 8 it is not supported.
