There are different ways to activate your Windows 7. One is through dialing their contact number. We also have an “Internet” activation or online activation. So be ready with your purchased “Product Key.” This came with your installation CD when you first purchased your computer.

1.       Right-click Computer and select Properties.

2.       Select in the window “Activate Windows Now.”

3.       It will bring you to a window where you have to type in the “Product Key.” Click next button.

Wait for a few seconds and it will show you message that the Windows Operating system has been successfully activated.

You can also try other way to activate windows.

1.       Right-click Computer and select Properties.

2.       Select “Show Me Other Ways to Activate.”

3.       You just need to type Windows 7 product key and then click next.

4.       Select “Use my modem to connect directly to the activation service.”

5.       Select the option for the location nearest to you from the drop-down list and click “Next.” Just follow the on-screen guide and you will be able to successfully activate your windows.

Usually, this error message comes for using the OEM_SLP key with a retail disk. So, without using the key in the key finder app, use the key on the COA sticker on the machine’s case (or inside the battery compartment) and enter it using the “change product key” link at the bottom of the system properties page.

In order to activate, it is possible to use the product activation wizard which facilitates the activation online. To start product activation wizard,

• Start > right click on computer > properties > activate windows now

But, if this also throws errors, phone activation is necessary.
