Play movies on LG smart TV 47LM6400 from USB 3.0 hard drive

Hello,

Can I play movies that are on my Seagate (Expansion 1TB External USB 3.0) external hard disk on to my LG smart TV 47LM6400 that has USB 2.0 Port? Are there any configurations or something like that. Any ideas?

Hai Juan,

Yes you can play movies with th use of USB. In case if you could give a look into the user manual, they clearly states in page 29 that you can “Connect a USB storage device such as a USB flash memory, external hard drive, or a USB memory card reader to the TV and access the Smart Share menu to use various multimedia files.” Using an external USB will not be a problem. You can see this manual info here
