Sony has launched its PlayStation Suite SDK on open beta. After downloading the open beta application, how can I create games that use both physical buttons and touchscreen input with a PC-based simulator?

Hi,

Sony launched the open beta program of its PlayStation Suite.

During this Beta period, the firm offers a downloadable SDK and tools allowing anyone who wants to create an application or game on PS vita and other Smartphones and touch pads running under Android and that are certified PlayStation .

The official version is still planned for later in 2012 and will require an annual subscription for access. During the Open Beta, users can:

Create games that uses both physical buttons and touch screen input with an integrated development environment (IDE) and a PC based simulator you can run your games for test and debug, all the tools are provided along with the SDK, you can download the full package at:https://psm.playstation.net/portal/en/index.html

You can also test and debug games and applications on the PlayStation®Vita system and PlayStation™Certified devices.

And if you are facing any difficulties or if you want to share your experience, you can go to Developers Forum, where you will find participant from all over the word in addition to the SCE employees.

It is to note that after the Open Beta period, you will have to sign a new contract.

Thank you
