Can’t remove programs. I want to get rid of the programs I’ve already uninstalled from the “Add/Remove Programs” list. I tried uninstalling these programs in Safe Mode and then restored them to an earlier period. Before, an error pops up and lets me choose if I want to remove the program from the list, but now the error says that the install.log is not found. I have a lot of such programs on the list. Please help!
Please help on how to Add/Remove programs.
Hallo,
I am certainly sure that your PC is attacked by virus. And I can say undoubtedly that it has eaten you system file. But you can get rid of it. There are two ways to solve this problem .First one is using a antivirus. But no free or ordinary antivirus can solve this problem. You have to use a licensed copy antivirus to solve it. As I said no ordinary antivirus can solve this problem. Only Norton bootable antivirus can solve it. Because this antivirus can reconstruct your system file as well as can kill the virus.
The other way is re-installing your Operating system by formatting the hard disk. So now it your choice which one you want to use.
Please help on how to Add/Remove programs.
There are files that can't be uninstall using Add/Remove programs. This needs to either manually remove from the registry however, this is risky if you don't know how to locate this file.
Doing the uninstall in safe mode should let you remove the software but sometimes it won't work because of the severity of the infections. I would says, this might be a virus infection that is so clever, that cant be remove easily.
It need a computer expert to do it for you if you are not comfortable removing this program out of your computer using registry removal.
Got to the System Registry and you need to locate the file. This should let you remove this software permanently. However, you can re-format your computer to completely remove this clever software file. Reformat clears all files, data and information out of your computer no matter how clever the software file is.
