My friend told me that being powered by Vbulletin working from home seems easier. What are the disadvantages of Vbulletin since I'm planning to build my own forum using one? Are there any better Internet forum software, preferably open-source?

Hi,

vBulletin is great and an excellent scalable solution that will give you a feeling of a faster website with a great interactivity as it has quick reply called AJAX and an inline editing. You can also customize the RSS Feeds that will enable users to buzz on forum topics of your website. However, because of many options it’s a little tough to find what you want. vBulletin can be customized in any way you want but with lots of options, it’s hard to find what exactly you need.
