When I went to vacation, I bring my digital camera, but unfortunately the external memory only 64 Mb.So i set the resolution into 640X480. I wanna Print a few of my photo with size of A4 paper. Will I still get good result?
Print result quality in low resolution
You can still print it in A4 sized paper but the result or the quality will not be as expected.  For best quality on this resolution you can instead print it as wallet size.  You can also print it in 4×6 but you will see boxes as it will get pixelized. Â
There are many factors that may affect the print quality.  One factor that can affect the print quality is the dpi or the dots per inch on the photo.  For a 640×480 with dpi 200 to determine the good quality print out will be by dividing 640/200 & 480/200 which is 3.2×2.4 which is just wallet size.  There are photo editing softwares where you can increase the image dpi to a higher one but still doesn't guarantee that you will get the result you desire. Tamameddy, here if you print the photos in that resolution I can still guarantee you good quality but not very good. In order to obtain the best quality of the photos in that 640*480 resolution, you will need to reduce the size of the printout and print at least 1/2 or 3/4 of the A4 paper. This will come out better and in a clearer perspective. You may also need to check the quality of the printer. The type of ink will also determine. This should solve your query
Print result quality in low resolution
If you set the resolution of your camera to 640 x 480 pixels and you are wondering if the image will fit an A4 size paper, there will be a problem with the width of the image if you will print it in Portrait style. Because the size or the width of the image is 8.89 inches while the width of an A4 size paper is only 8.27 inches.
An A4 size paper measures about 8.27 x 11.69 inches while a 640 x 480 pixels image measures about 8.89 x 6.67 inches. The image, when printed, will go beyond past the edge or the width of the paper.
However, you can shrink or resize the image to fit the width of the paper but this will make the image smaller than its normal size. If you want to print it in its normal 640 x 480 pixels size, you have to change the print style to Landscape and just center the image in the paper. The image will fit the paper perfectly in this way.
