Hi folks,
I have a five computer network connected with a printer. But after restart sometimes, printer command is not working from the slave computer.
It worked fine before the problem. What should I do?
Thanks.
Printer not working over networking
The problem can be solved by this method.
-
First of all connect the network, before making up a network printer. Then be sure that network is on the host network printer.
-
Then click on 'Start'. Â
-
Go to the control panel.
-
Open the local printer.
-
Add new printer to it.
-
Select that printer that is attached with the same computer.
-
Do not check the two boxes, under the play printer and auto detect plug.
-
Then click the next button.
-
It will ask to create the new port.
-
Now you select the TCP/IP and
-
click on the next button.
-
Then you have to enter the IP and the name of the port.
-
And then click on the finish button
-
After this Windows will automatically search the driver of the printer.
In the last step you have to confirm all the steps and click on the next button and the process is finished.
Thank You.
Printer not working over networking
A shared printer on the network sometimes work and sometimes fails for some unknown reasons. Sometimes, a simple restart would solve the problem and sometimes it won’t. And this would be very aggravating. To avoid this problem you can try using a printserver instead and it provides more convenience.Â
With a printserver you can wire it to your router. It caters to the workstations who would want to print to the printer. Install its software or you can configure the device using TCP/IP printing. Using this would free all your hassles that you are experiencing right now. Hope this will help you.
