Hi to everyone,

A problem about my dell web cam quit working.

Video chatting in Skype is very important for me to reach my business partners and love ones all over the world.

While having a business meeting through Skype with my business partner, the webcam suddenly not working and never let them view my webcam.

How can I resolve this issue?

I am using Windows 7 Os.

Your suggestion is very much welcome.

A problem about my dell web cam quit working.

Hi,

Try to Check the drivers first that it is installed for your camera or you can say that webcam is listed.

Follow these steps.

 

1. Click on start and then go to control panel.

2. In control panel click on device manager.

3. Now you will see in the list Imaging Devices.

4. Click on it and it will show you the device.

5. If the camera is not listed there then 1ST try to install the webcam driver.

6. If it is listed then come to Skype.

 

Skype :

 

1. Sign in to Skype.

2. On the top you will see Tools click on it.

3. In tools click on option.

4. A window will open.

5. Now you will see in the list to your left hand video setting click on it.

6. If you see live picture then your webcam is working properly.

7. Update your Skype maybe you will be using older version.

8. check your DirectX and update it to latest version.

9. Make sure you have downloaded the right version of Skype which is compatible with windows 7.
