Hello,
I'm using Sony Ericsson xperia x10mini, I want to connect it with my virtual adhoc network created from my laptop but in my phone its not getting any adhoc network. I've heard about android phone doesn't support adhoc.
So is there any way to connect my phone with adhoc network.
Problem with adhoc network in my android phone.
Hi Jitin,
Well basically it's true that android phone does not show up adhoc networks and the only reason responsible for this is the wi-fi driver as it does not support wpa supplicant.
Let me give you a link. Just go to the below given link and download the specific wpa supplicant. It is the one specifically designed for android to show up adhoc networks.
Also using a Root explorer you can Power on the adhoc connection in any other mobile or device and probably then you could connect it to your Sony Ericsson Xperia phone through WiFi. Hope it works.
Thanks!!
