If this is the first time that this happens, try restarting your machine then try it again. See what happens after rebooting the machine. There is already a new version of iTunes available and this might fix your problem with the software if ever you are still using the older version of the program. This new version is completely redesigned for your browsing, listening, viewing, and shopping pleasure.
For Mac computers, this new version supports Mac OS X 10.6.8 and later and requires 400 MB of free space. For those users using Microsoft Windows, this supports Windows XP 32-bit Service Pack 2 and later, Windows Vista 32-bit and 64-bit, Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit, and Windows 8 32-bit and 64-bit. For operating systems running on 64-bit, you also need the 64-bit version of the iTunes installer. You can download the latest version of iTunes from Apple | iTunes | Download iTunes.

Thank you all very much. Many problems may arise from using older versions because they don’t have enough hotfixes to solve popular issues, but the latest versions are always problem free. I’ve gotten this type of issues before, but after reading this post, I’ve downloaded the latest version–iTunes 11. Now, I have no problems downloading music. Thanks to all–especially Sharath Reddy–for your kind help.
