I have a desktop and laptop, and both are running with Windows 7. When I tried to install a program in my laptop, it gets an error message which says it cannot install on this operating system. The same program is what I have installed on my desktop, and it’s working properly.
So please help me find solution to this problem.
Problem with the installation of program
Are both your computers using the same version of Windows 7? It’s likely that both are not the same and the one installed on your laptop is a version lower than what’s installed in your desktop. It is also likely that the installation software has a way to determine if the serial number or the product key has already been used and would create an error in the installation if this is found to be true. Can you please tell us what specific program this is so that we can have a better idea about what’s really happening and what best to advise you?
Problem with the installation of program
Hello Shayne,
You may be having different operating systems on the laptop and the desktop computer, for instance windows XP of the desktop computer and windows 7 on the laptop and hence these two operating system may not support the same application. You will need to such the internet and get the same application but which is meant to run on the operating system that you are using of the laptop. Also check the system specs for the laptop like whether it is a 32 bit or 64 bit and download the appropriate application for it.
You also must check the model, some applications are made to run on some models of computers only, for instance HP, Toshiba, DELL.
