Problem in installing flash error on winhttp.dll
There are basically three ways on how to resolve this particular issue:
-
Install updates automatically. Go to the Windows update section in your start menu to access the Update site of Windows. Once in the website, just click on Express Install, and automatically, the site will search your pc for updates that are yet to be installed in your system. Reboot your computer once you see the prompt to do so and check if you're still getting the dll error.
-
Perform a System Restore. This will revert your pc settings to a point in time of your choosing where your system is still working fine. In Windows 7, just type in System Restore on the search field and run it. In XP, you need to go to Accessories and then System Tools to find System Restore.
-
Manually replace the dll. Download the file again using any site that offers the named dll, unzip the contents of the folder and save the files. Look for the system folder of your Windows:
-
Windows XP or Vista on a 64-bit system-"C:WindowsSysWOW64."
Windows XP or Vista on a 32-bit system-"C:WindowsSystem32."
Windows NT and 2000- "C:WINNTSystem32."
Windows 95, 98 and ME- "C:WindowsSystem."
Just drag the folder of the dll file to the appropriate Windows system folder and replace the existing dll. Reboot and check.
Hope that helps.
Good luck!
