Hello everyone,

I am using the AIOU free to play for some time now. I encountered a problem when I tried to start the launcher from the website. I have searched a lot for this on the internet, but found nothing useful.

When I start repairing the AIOU using the install shield wizard, I get the following error:

AION Free-To-Play Error:

Error 1706. No valid source could be found for product AION Free-To-Play. The Windows Installer cannot continue.

Can anyone please help me to get rid of the problem? I don’t have any idea how to resolve it.

Your suggestions are anxiously awaited.

Thanks and have a good day.

Regards.

Jennifer.

I’m not sure how the problem started. I already visited the AION Free-to-Play web site where the game client can be downloaded but I don’t see any game launcher there. I also play online games specifically Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game [MMORPG] like Cabal Online. Usually, with online games like this, the game client is usually launched from the desktop and not from the web site like what you said with your game.

Since this is what happened with your game client, I think the best way to fix this is to completely uninstall the game client from your computer and by looking at the image you posted, the InstallShield Wizard is repairing the AION Free-to-Play game client. Meaning, the game is already installed on your computer. Try opening the game client from your desktop first and see if it will launch successfully so you wouldn’t have to reinstall it again.

If the game client really doesn’t work, uninstall it from your machine then download the installer again from AION Free-to-Play — DOWNLOADING THE AION CLIENT. There is no system incompatibility issue here because AION Free-to-Play supports Windows XP Service Pack 2, Windows Vista, and Windows 7.
