Hi techyv,

A problem with yahoo messenger for vista starter. It seems like the yahoo messenger is not working or not compatible with Windows Vista starter edition operating system.

The installation process is always unsuccessful, it never responds to the server. I keep rebooting the PC over and over again, I need some advice.

What is the main cause of this problem?

Hi Marie, 

I will be glad to help you with this question. What you need to do to solve this problem is the following; check whether the messenger is compatible with your windows version.

It may be the cause that the messenger is not compatible with your windows version.

Uninstall the flash player using the Flash player Uninstaller found from the website; 

Install the flash player update and restart the software.

If this doesn't work, uninstall the Yahoo! Messenger software and reinstall or install a later version.

It should now work.
