If a tag was built with an apparent meaning but afterwards started meaning something else, what should be done?? For instance, .cdr tag was built as a CorelDraw file ext, but afterwards it was utilized as a CD-R-Disc by 2 users . Correct me if I am wrong, but I imagine that the solution is to create a cd-r tag, then retag 2 queries, and afterwards add tag descriptions for both. Â What I am not confident about is, if a tag started meaning something else, does it replace the 1st one?Â

Problems and questions regarding CD-R-Disk
Hello Devin,
It is never a common thing for such a case to happen, because different tags have been designed specifically for different programs and most of the time they will be different for different file formats.
But just in case there happened a situation whereby two file formats shared the same tag or extension, like the cdr example that you have given, then each time you want to open the file you will have to specifically use the open with command so as you choose which program or application to open the file with. You use open with by clicking on the file that you want to open, and then choose open with, and then choose the application to open with from the list you will be given.
