Problems in installing the Mifos software

Today when i tried to install the Mifos software i was unable to do so, even though i followed all the instructions in the installation guide which came along with the software. The problem arises when I try to run the file startup.bat in CATALINA_HOME. This does not run the way it has been mentioned in the guideline which is present in the installation guide. Thank you for your help

Older programs cannot work with Windows 7, especially some programs for Windows XP, possible that you might need to upgrade to Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate if you are not running either edition and download the free Windows XP Mode program which will allow you run older programs:
