Procedure For Calculating The Margin Of Error In Linear Regression

Calculating the margin of error during linear regression analysis is very easy. You just need to know the dataset first and percentage confidence level for each of the margins. Here are the steps to calculate the sampling error.

1. Find the size of the sample dataset (n) and proportion levels (x).

2. Multiply the proportion level (x) by (1-x)

3. Divide the result by n

4. Take the square root of the answer

5. This is called the standard error

6. Multiply the result by the standard value (z*)

You finally have the margin of error calculated.
