There are Microsoft Outlook Data files (.pst and .ost) that won’t open, and I suspect they are damaged. How can I diagnose or repair Outlook data files with a good outcome?

Procedure To Repair Outlook Data Files Dexterously.

You can useSCANPST.EXE, the Inbox Repair Tool to repair the Outlook data file.  Here are the steps to do it:

1. Exit Microsoft Outlook and go to Program files. Search for SCANPST.EXE and open it.
2. Enter the name of the Outlook file for scanning and click Start to begin.
3. If there are errors, choose Repair to fix them. Once the repair is done, open Outlook Data file and see if it opens.
