I’m not sure if the error is related to your work because PPSSPP is a Portable PlayStation emulator or PSP. The name of the emulator and so is the website is unique because they used the PSP acronym and just doubled the letters. With PPSSPP, you can play your PSP games on your PC in full HD resolution as well as on Android Smartphone and devices.

The reason why you are getting this error is because you are using an older version of the emulator such as version 0.9.7 until 0.9.9.1. These old versions require new version of the Microsoft Visual C++ runtime. Though you didn’t mention the current version you are using, it’s pretty obvious that you are running an old version.

Beginning from version 1.0 and later, Microsoft Visual C++ runtime is no longer required. To fix your problem, download and install Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable. In case you no longer wish to install Microsoft Visual C++, you must use any of the later versions from version 1.0 until 1.2.2 where version 1.2.2 is the latest. Visit PPSSPP Downloads to download the latest.

Go to the “PPSSPP for Windows” section and download any of the available versions.
