I am having an issue with my old Windows XP media Center 2005. I changed my built-in card and installed a new NVIDIA card. I can open Media Center but the program crashes when I stop the recording or I try to watch live TV. It would be great if you can brief me how to course this.
Program crashes when i stop recording
Hello,
Â
It could be for your NVIDIA driver when you try to watch live TV with your new NVIDIA card in an old windows ( windows xp ), it happens if you have not installed your latest driver of your NVIDIA.
Most of the new version of NVIDIA card dose not support windows XP more.
Look at NVIDIA official website and search your NVIDIA Card and see if there is available driver for windows XP.
If not sometimes you could install a driver for windows vista or 7 in windows xp by compatibility mode.

If you are previously using the built-in video card on your motherboard and now purchased an NVIDIA video card, make sure the driver for the new video card is installed properly. Problems can happen if you don’t install the driver or you install the wrong driver for your dedicated video card. The driver used by your built-in video card is different from the dedicated video card you purchased.
A computer can run on multiple display adapters provided the driver for the respective devices is installed. The new device can’t run properly if the correct driver is not installed. Applications that require graphics acceleration will trigger different errors when the display adapter is not installed properly.
