Provisioning Operation’ has encountered a problem – Lotus Notes

Hi guys,

I cannot use Lotus Notes after changing the embedded Same time version. I upgraded it to the latest add-on for IBM Lotus Notes 8.5.1. I did it using the administrator account so maybe that’s why I cannot open it as a Standard (Restricted) User.

As seen on the picture below, errors message “‘Provisioning Operation’ has encountered a problem” pops up when I try to open Lotus Notes.

How do I properly update my Same time version?

Hallo Doretha,

Since you installed the Lotus Motes using administrator credentials, it may be possible that you placed restrictions on it that denied it the privileges to be opened by a standard user. You will therefore need to follow the following procedure and see if the application will be opened.

• Log out from the standard user that you are currently logged on to the computer with.
• Log in with your administrator account which you used to install the application.
• Try executing the application now and see if it will work.

If the application does not work after the above procedure, it may be corrupt. You will therefore need to uninstall it and then perform a clean installation of it.
