Is the PS4 compatible with PS3 accessories?

I own a PS3 and I would like to upgrade to a PS4. Will I have to buy all the parts including the controllers? Sony announced that the new controller would have a highly sensitive axis Centre that with a new light bar. However, will the PS recognize my PS3 controllers? How will PS3 users access the Gaikai Inc cloud technology, if it will be made available?

Actually, not all the PS3 accessories are incompatible with PS4.

 

So, it is not necessary to buy controllers & other peripherals for those which are compatible.

 

 

 

Also the Gaikai Inc cloud technology is now available, together with the remote play between the PS Vita & PS4 feature and the Backward Compatibility feature.
