The PX625 mercury battery of my Olympus OM-1n is discontinued

I have an Olympus OM-1n camera which was gifted to me. I don’t know with which battery I should replace to operate the camera’s light meter. Can I adjust the shutter speed of the camera? What is the optimum shutter speed in an Olympus OM-1n? I don’t have any manual for this camera with me. Please help me with a solution.

Here are some of the best replacement for the battery for your light meter.

1.  Mallory PX625 battery

2.  1.5V lithium cells

3.  1.3V hearing-aid batteries

4.   Criscam MR9

5.   1.35 V JIS H-D Type

There is a shutter speed ring where you can adjust it. You can simply turn the shutter speed ring grips and you can feel and hear the speed clicks once you turned between settings. The shutter speed 1000 indicates 1/1000 of a second and 60 indicates 1/60 of a second. There are dependable web links that you can simply google in and or type Olympus OM-1 manual. Olympus America (olympusamerica.com) will be the best choice.
